Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ)
The mandate of the Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is to influence and support the sustainable development of the Québec food industry. This government body creates, develops, and implements programs targeted toward production, processing, commercialization and the consumption of Québec agricultural, marine, and food products. It also plays an important role in R & D and training.
Transformation Alimentaire Québec (TRANSAQ), is the agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food responsible for the development of the agri-food industry. It offers Québec businesses an array of specialized services in the field of business and market development. Moreover, Transformation Alimentaire has a special interest in the promotion of Québec food products abroad and provides assistance to perspective international commercial partners and investors in Québec.
